SANSEVIERIA FILMS STORE FRIENDS OF THE 2007 SANSEVIERIA FILM FESTIVAL
FEE film festival in the Midwest region of the United States. We uphold our
NO ENTRY FEE policy because we believe firmly that NO filmmaker, no
matter how struggling, should ever have to make the decision between an
entry fee to make a film festival deadline, or getting the rent paid. (However,
you still have to come up with your own postage to get your works to us...)
Note that the entry form no longer contains the festival year. This is an effort
to keep the site maintained more efficiently.

The 2008 Sansevieria Film Festival will be held in
October or November 2008. Location TBA later
this year.

Entries are accepted year-round. For priority
consideration for the 2008 Sansevieria Film Festival,
your submission should be postmarked no later than
August 15, 2008. Entries received after November 1,
2008 will automatically be considered for the 2008
Festival. Film festival is held in November in Toledo,
Ohio, USA.

plant about how to submit an entry
to a film festival...
1. Don't put too much postage on your entry.
We get all kinds of entries with excessive postage on them.
When you put too much postage on your entry, it creates
homeland security issues, and the U.S. Postal Service holds
your submission longer for more thorough inspection
before they send it to us. Have your package weighed at
the post office, or use a postal scale and then go to
http://www.usps.com to calculate the rate. You can send
up to a pound of materials by Media Mail for $2.13 from
any USA destination, which takes about six days to reach
us. You wouldn't believe what will fit in a pound of mail.
You could mail ME for $2.13, that is, if I was some kind of
media, and not a sansevieria leaf.
2. Use one entry form per submission. If you are
sending more than one work, please fill out a separate
entry form for each. It really annoys me when you silly
humans try to put three entries on one entry form.
3. Don't wait until the last minute if you can help it.
If it's really close to the film festival, and we have had
time to see it, we'll think about it, but no promises. For
best results, try to get your submission postmarked no
later than August 15, 2008. However, bear in mind that
the mail IS controlled by those silly humans...so there
could be delays.
